Initial Consultation:  Your first visit
includes a complete consultation with your
chiropractic doctor. It begins with a
comprehensive history of your health and
any health concerns you may have.  If your
condition(s) is one which might benefit from
chiropractic care, then the next step is an
examination.  The initial consultation is
always done at no charge to you.
Postural Analysis and Correction:  Postural
imbalances are the primary reason that patients
experience pain in their bodies.  This portion of the
exam will bring a new understanding to your body
and help you to see why you are having problems
and why they continue to come back.  Orthotics
may be recommended at this time.  Orthotics help
to stabilize the pelvis and spine.
Report of Findings: After all the exam procedures
is completed, the doctor will provide results/findings
and possible treatment options. Next, a customized
treatment plan will be developed for each patient
and the patient will have time to ask questions or
add input.  Lastly, the treatment/healing process
begins!!
Treatment:  Usually treatment is given on the same
day as your consultation and examination.
Treatment will include physiotherapy (heat electrical
muscle stimulation, ultrasound, etc.), followed by a
chiropractic adjustment, postural corrections and
possible therapeutic exercises.  The treatment is
customized to your needs.
Physiotherapy - Electrical Stimulation Therapy
The Adjustment:  The chiropractic adjustment will
restore proper joint motion to the spine or any other
joint in the body.  The adjustment also reduces
muscle tension and inflammation.  The "popping"
sound that you hear is a release of gas from
between the joints.  The doctor and patient work
together in the healing process.  There are many
times when stretching and exercises are necessary
to reach maximum improvement.  The doctor will
advise the patient on the proper activities to do or
avoid.
Supplementation:  There are some vitamins
and/or supplements that can be recommended to
help the healing process or assist with other health
concerns/conditions.  Your doctor might recommend
certain supplements to assist with your health
Initial Examination:  This exam
includes orthopedic and neurological
testing, muscle strength testing, postural
analysis and spinal analysis.  If the
doctor determines that x-rays are
necessary, there is an x-ray facility
located downstairs with professional
radiologists to read your x-ray films.
Your chiropractor will also review the
x-rays films
